Hi, I'm the person behind Green For The Rest Of Us.

I'm not an environmental expert. I'm not a psychology professor. I'm just someone who got tired of watching well-meaning environmental messages completely miss the mark.

You know that feeling when your neighbor insists climate change is a hoax no matter what evidence you share? When your dad keeps forgetting to recycle despite you explaining a thousand times how it pollutes the water? When your coworker rolls their eyes every time you mention anything remotely environmental, like you're some kind of tree-hugging extremist?

Whether you're a parent trying to get your family on board, a teacher looking to inspire students, or just someone who cares and wants others to care too, you've probably hit that wall where good intentions meet human psychology.

Yeah. I've been there too. And I’m about to save you years of your life feeling helpless & cursing the reluctant people in your life.

What I Actually Do

I research what environmental communication works and what doesn't – then test it in real conversations with real people.

Every approach I write about is backed by research and my own messy experiments. I share the failures too, because there's a graveyard of environmental conversations that went nowhere, and I've contributed my fair share.

My rule is simple: If a message doesn't actually change behavior, it's just virtue signaling.

Why This Matters More Than Ever

Most environmental messaging is written by environmentalists, for environmentalists. That's just preaching to the choir while everyone else scrolls past.

The most effective environmental messages don't sound like environmental messages at all. They tap into what people already want: saving money, protecting their family's health, feeling capable. They make sustainable choices feel obvious, not like a moral test.

My goal is simple: help you have environmental conversations that actually work instead of just making people defensive.

What You'll Get Here

  • Templates for environmental conversations that don't sound preachy

My Promise to You

I will never recommend something I haven't tried myself. I will always show you the research. And I'll never pretend this stuff is easy – changing minds is hard work, but it's learnable.

Ready to stop talking past each other? Subscribe and start having environmental conversations that actually change minds.

P.S. If you're thinking "I don't know how to talk to people who don't already care about this," or “my mom never cares about the enviroments, I have tried talking to her a thousand times”, this newsletter is especially for you. I'm here to prove that effective environmental communication is a learnable skill, not a personality trait.
